Kpop in English

As most Kpop fans can relate, there will always be that one (or two, or three, or four, etc) friend(s) that says they can’t get in to Kpop because they can’t understand what they’re saying.

As I often explain to parents, who are trying to understand their kids fascination, Kpop is such a broad term covering a broad genre of music.

Korean popular music, which is what the term Kpop is derived from, can include what we consider pop music to hip hop, rap, rock, and so much more. It can be in multiple languages, although Korean is the most common, and can easily transcend “I don’t understand the lyrics”.

For those who are looking for English songs to sway (or drag) their friends in to Kpop, here is a compilation of English songs to get the game started!
